This was a repair I did last week in Dodworth, Barnsley, S75. The boiler was a pre 2012 Vaillant ecotec pro 28 which had an intermittent F.61 fault and was losing pressure as it had a leak. I was able to repair this boiler with one visit.
The boiler kept coming up with the F.61 fault code which is not uncommon on the ecotec pro models. In this instance the fault turned out to be an issue with the printed circuit board(pcb) which needed to be replaced. I carry circuit boards for the first generation ecotec manufactured before 2012 and also for the second generation manufactured from 2012 onwards for service and repairs.

The second issue was that the boiler was dripping slowly from the diverter valve. This is also a common issue on the Vaillant ecotec models, the pin seal on the diverter fails causing it to leak. I find that they often leak the most when in central heating mode and will slow down to a very slow drip if left in hot water mode. If your boiler is leaking you could try leaving it in hot water mode to see if that makes a difference.
The last little minor issue was that the boiler was leaking slightly from the auto air vent at the back of the central heating pump. Like the pcb and diverter valve I also carry little components such as this for repairs.
