As part of the Vaillant boiler repair service I provide, I also supply and fit the 3rd generation of Nest smart thermostats.
I have installed and tested various smart thermostats over the last few years, but my favourite overall is the Nest. In terms of design it is by far the best looking thermostat, has the best user interface is the easiest to install and use and it just works great straight out of the box.
It was designed by the same people who worked on the iPod at Apple. It has that great quality intuitive iPhone sort of feel to the hardware and user interface. For that reason I have one installed in my own home.
Control your heating from your smart phone and smart watch
As you may expect, you can control your Nest smart thermostat from from anywhere in the world, from your smartphone or even your smartwatch should you happen to have one.
All you need is the App and an internet connection. Nest has also an ecosystem with other smart products for the home, such as cameras, carbon monoxide/smoke alarms and door bells for example.
