Terms & Conditions

Providing an excellent, efficient and transparent service are among my highest priorities. I provide a valuable service and providing a good customer experience is very important to me.

Being as transparent as possible regarding the way I work enables me to manage the expectations of my customers, and I always do my best as to avoid any ambiguity which may potentially result in a poor customer experience.

Hopefully this page helps towards achieving that objective, however if you do have any questions prior to an appointment being made, that are not answered on this page, then please feel free to ask.

Normal Hours Of Operation

I do not provide 24hr emergency services. My normal hours of operation are typically between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Working on a weekend is at my discretion and is typically for emergency boiler repairs only.

Calls booked out of “normal working hours” (Mon – Fri 09:00 – 17:00) will typically incur a surcharge.


Adequate parking within 50 metres of the property is to be expected.

Any parking fees will be additional to your final invoice. Please call to confirm your appointment and charges if you are in doubt.

Guarantee on parts fitted

For your peace of mind, I provide a 12 month guarantee on parts.

Any parts or equipment fitted to your boiler and/or central heating system as part of a service or repair, carries a standard manufacturers guarantee which is effective for a total period of 12 months from the date of purchase/installation.

Please note that this is not a personal guarantee, nor is it not a guarantee that a given part will not fail.

Any parts or equipment fitted to your boiler and/or central heating system which fails or becomes faulty during its 12 month manufacturers guarantee period will be replaced free of charge.

However the time it takes to replace any such parts is chargeable. The cost for the time it takes to replace any such parts may be wavered but is at my discretion.

Any failed/faulty component(s) which are replaced within the 12 month manufacturers guarantee period are guaranteed until the end of the guarantee period of the original part which was fitted.

Any work required to replace faulty parts under warranty can be expected to be done within a reasonable amount of time from the point at which I am notified of such issues.

Parts fitted may not be covered by the manufacturers guarantee should the boiler or heating system have other pre existing faults which could affect the life of any such parts.

Parts that have failed due to the direct or indirect failure of any other components on the boiler or heating system will not be covered by the guarantee.

Right of refusal

I have the right to refuse to provide a service to any individual or business should I choose not to take on a particular job for any reason.

My standard terms and conditions of trading (available on request) apply in all instances. All quotations are inclusive of VAT(Im not VAT registered). Payment terms are payment on completion, or within 7 days of completion, and submission of invoice (by prior arrangement).

Any quotation is valid for 7 days from the date of quotation.

Payment Terms

Payments can be accepted by Cash, Card or a Bank Transfer. Cheques are not acceptable. Payment terms are payment on completion or within 7 days of completion of any work, and submission of invoice (by prior arrangement).

Title of goods does not pass from myself until the final invoice is paid in full.

Deposits or advance payments are not usually required, but may be required in some instances.

What I Charge For My Services

I am not VAT registered, hence I do not charge customers VAT. Any prices quoted for a boiler installation, service or repair is the price you would pay. Any quotes given are valid for seven days.

Regarding a boiler or central heating repair, it generally takes up to an hour to assess any given boiler or system properly to determine the extent of what it may or may not need, and how long it will take to repair.

The cost of this first hour goes towards the total amount of time any boiler or central heating repair takes, however I do expect to be paid for the first hour.
